Slightly Modified/Improved?

Ok so for all you do it yourselfers out there here are a couple hints and tips what you can do "in a pinch" or atleast what has been sighted out in the public as modifications when necessary....keep in mind that these modifications are not the brainchild of the writer or endorsements of said modification but from one of our outside contributors. Suprisingly I don't see a single inch of bailing wire used although the same cannot be said of the infamous duct tape.
