Pico Dolly

A good customer shot this video last weekend and used the Pico Dolly for the pan shots.  Thanks Steven!  Him is in the video and there is a brief cameo featuring moi!

Left Side Story - Alan Kempster

Just because the world and most of the folk in it says you can't do something....isn't it just an opportunity to prove them wrong?  If you are not affected, touched or inspired by this man's story....well the just go on back to bed and do nothin'.

Got My Own Board I did!

Yesterday was a day for garage sales and Bizarre Bazaar sales and we found some bargains.  One of the bargains we found was a couple of skateboards priced right...two for $10.00.  Last night I rode my new board around a couple blocks of the neightborhood while Him pushed with  a rope.  Say it can't be done?  Well guess you will just have to wait and be amazed.  We got lots of thumbs up and "that's so cool" comments from motorists during our skate-a-bout.

Roller Skates 1905 - 1913

These were sent to me with the heading of skating 1905 - 1913.  You know how much I love wheels of any kind. Keep the cool photos coming!

First Goggled Dog?

"In 1903 Horatio Nelson Jackson and driving partner Sewall K. Crocker became the first people to drive and automobile across the United States.  Somewhere in Idaho, Jackson and Crocker obtained a dog, a Pit Bull named Bud.  Newspapers at the time gave a variety of stories of how Bud was acquired, including that he was stolen."

“It turned out that the dusty alkali flats the travelers encountered would bother Bud’s eyes so much (the Winton had neither a roof nor windshield) that Jackson eventually fitted him with a pair of goggles.”   Wikipedia

Tear 'em down build 'em back

The bike ... she lives again! Was touch and go there for awhile. Rebuild kits ordered and although chocked full of all sorts of bits did not include the much needed needles. Salvage carb bank found on a back shelf somewhere gave up the goods and now the old gal fires right up with a new 'joie de vivre' thanks to the talented & patient Mr. Willis.  Idling a little fast now after warming up but that should be a simple adjustment.
