A Shiny Truck for Christmas

I don't have thumbs so this may be a bit dicey at times.  Forgive the spelling errors and other typos that you might encounter.


What I will probably post the most is about my adventures at work, home and away.  Sometimes it might be about that cat that lives at the house with us, or maybe photography, or how I really really want to get that squirrel that teases me out in the back yard.   My walker and all around caretaker may chime in from time to time.  Sometime folks get us confused.  Don't.  I am the cute one.  Least that's what everyone says.  


I started this blog because I saw something on a friends blog that I liked and wanted to comment on and could not because I had not signed up for an ID.  I got micro-chipped ain't that enough?  Apparently not.  So here I am.


What did I want?  It is the sweetest shiny green truck and not even a new one.  This one has character and its called a HUDSON like my last name.  I'm not one much for appearances but I would look much cooler riding around in it than that old car him drives us around in now. So I wrote Santa:  

Dear Santa, I've been very good this year....

Suppose I should start at the beginning.  I work at a camera store in downtown Wichita, Kansas.  The store is called Lawrence Photo, Inc. (why the inc part I am not sure....something legalese) where I head up the public relations department (PR for short).  When I am not working at work I am probably curled up in a chair waiting for work to walk in the door.  Or sleeping under a desk waiting for my public relations talent to be set into motion.  


Anyway I've heard him (most people call him Paul - I just refer to him as him) say this for over three years now since I've started coming to work, "there has been a Lawrence Photo in Wichita since 1888."  I'll get more into that later.  It's cool working/hanging out in at one of the oldest businesses around even if him did not start the business.  I get to meet all sorts of great people when they come into the store.
