Gimme some please....please...please!

Tag Loves Pizza
Ok Him and I stayed late Wednesday night at work and so we splurged on a Pappa John's pizza for dinner.  I love pizza!  My biker buddies started treating me with the crust when the guys were working on our bikes last fall and I am hooked and don't like taking NO for an answer.  As a matter of fact NO is not an acceptable answer at all.  How could anyone refuse me a simple crust of bread with a face like this?
Gimme, gimme gimme some pizza pizza pizza!

Hudson: Then & Now

A classic view in black and white of a car not seen much anymore.
I wish I could figure out why the gif files don't play on here very well.
What a difference a little color makes.

Paparazzi

It seems that no matter where I go there is always someone around with a camera.  It's part of the price of fame I suppose.

We had a great ride on Sunday and ended up at Twin Peaks Wichita where we sat outside on the patio and had some chicken tenders (lip lickin' good) and the guys had a beer.  It was a great day for a ride because the temperature got up around 60 degrees or so.

Bigger is Better!

Dennis Manarchy is in the process of building what must be the largest camera 35' long with a negative 4 1/2 ft by 6 ft.  Not to capture panoramic landscapes or the Grand Canyon, but to photograph single individuals.  A single capture of our vanishing cultures. Final Friday February

StopLight Gallery
So we started at the beginning which is always a good place to start at the StopLight Gallery where work by Lee Shiney is on display.  Added to the 24/7 gallery are three windmill elements  as well as two works on unmounted canvas.  Stop by or better  take a nice walk by the StopLight Gallery and check out  some of his newest work.

Gallery XII
Then we headed across the street to Gallery XII where John Ellert is the featured artist with his show, "Larger Than Life".

Midwest Center For Photography
Next on the list was going to Linda K. Robinson with a retrospective at Midwest Center For Photography.

Bob Schwan Studios

Next to Linda K.'s is Bob Schwan's which was previewing the Palette to Palate fund raising show to benifit KETCH.  Bob sez he want to paint my picture and Him is supposed to email Bob some good photos of me...(like there are any bad ones!)

ShopKeepers Gallery

One of the most serious shows we attended tonight was at ShopKeepers Gallery where middle and high school students from across Wichita came together to address bullying.  Read the Wichita Eagle's article here.

HorseTail Falls Yosemite National Park

This is way cool! It looks like hot molten lava flowing down the falls.

This phenomenon only occurs once a year and only if the weather, snowfall etc. are just right...

Lucy...

This is my friend Lucy.
She likes food.
She likes food a lot.
One time in the backyard,
I tried to hide a treat for later by burying it.
She found it, dug it up and it was gone!
Know what? I hid the next one under the deck and she could not get to it.
Dilemma solved.

A Show of People - Dale Strattman

A Show of People
Dale Strattman

Forget about pixels and digital and put aside thoughts of instant gratification and embrace the purest form and principals of photography in this show of photographs by celebrated Wichita photographer Dale Strattman.

You may be lead to believe that Strattman has Dektol and D76 coursing through his veins but it only takes a few moments of conversation to realize that this guy is the real deal.  A man who cares about photography and sharing the passion of his natural talent.  Strattman is known for his black and white photography and currently is an adjunct professor at Wichita State University where he continues his lifelong calling of teaching students the art of seeing through a camera lens, of composition and of the execution of the perfect print.

The exhibition is in the main gallery of City Arts  (334 N. Mead Street, Wichita, KS 67202) and has been extended to run through February 25th to include the Final Friday in February.

My new business cards are here!

Him had to place a second order to get my blogspot address right but....

Patience Is a Virtue? Heck Yeah!

C'mon...let's go for a walk...I gotta go!
