1958 How Kodak - How Film Is Made

This little gem came to me by way of one of our Facebook buddies at Lawrence Photo and it was so good I just had to share it. 

 The year was 1958 and this is how Kokak made film then.

Kodak Set to Quit Film & Paper Business

In a BBC News article,

"In its latest announcement the US company said it had hired investment bank Lazard to help it sell its Personalised Imaging and Document Imaging businesses.

This would mean an end to it making films for still cameras, photo papers, souvenir photo products at theme parks, scanners and picture print-out kiosks at stores.

It would leave the business focused on printers, cinema film stock and chemicals.

The British Journal of Photography said the news would concern the industry."

My How Time Flies

Here is an interesting article about Kodak and the anniversary of their trade mark from Forbes magazine and how Kodak was the first social media pioneer.

Lawrence Photo (where I work as the Public Relations Manager*) signed the first Kodak Dealership west of the Mississippi with George Eastman in 1888...this timeline is pretty cool although the story attached to it is rather disheartening. The Kodak timeline.
