Lawrence Photo - camera store back room clear it out sale!

Paul & Jeff have been clearing out some back rooms, boxes and what not and have found all sorts of TREASURES (remember one man's junk is another man's treasure!) Starting Wednesday morning we are having a TAG SALE! This stuff has got to GO GO GO!

Camera cases, straps, enlargers, lenses, print protectors, framed art, beakers, tripods, martini glasses, chairs, photographers vests, dark room stuff, slide projectors, trays, hoods the list goes on!

If you see you probably need it cause it has to GO!

Everything Old is New Again.

This customer supplied photo (of your's truly) was snapped with a 45 year old Polaroid "instant film" camera at Lawrence Photo.  Yup!  We carry that stuff down at the store.  This camera shoots both black and white and color and uses the "peel apart" type film  We will soon be stocking the new Impossible Project film for the old Polaroid Sun 600 and SX70 cameras.

Stop in and say hi sometime and hopefully you won't catch me sleeping on the job.

Public Relations Manager!

Him finally got me some business cards ordered.  Was hoping that my title would get changed to VP of Public Relations but Him said I've been sleeping on the job a little excessively and although that was a possiblity in the future, for now Public Relations Manager would have to suffice.

It's going to be a week or so before my cards arrive and a couple days to get the new email set up but please stop by and I'll do my best to spread the public relations joy!

Just a teaser about Lawrence Photo's new online catalog that is in the planning and under construction phase now.  In the meantime enjoy this fine cut from one of the most hopeful songs I know. 

Lawrence Photo (where I work as the Public Relations Manager*) signed the first Kodak Dealership west of the Mississippi with George Eastman in 1888...this timeline is pretty cool although the story attached to it is rather disheartening. The Kodak timeline.

*I am starting a formal petition to have my title change to VP of Public Relations.

I am re-blogging this from a friend of mine who posted this yesterday..."Brian DeFrees spent two months between August and October of this year driving a giant loop around the United States on a 12,225 mile long road trip.  He captured a photo every 5 seconds using an intervalometer with his Canon 60D while in his car and by creating individual time-lapse videos when parked or exploring an area.  The result is this epic 5 minute long time lapse."

 Way to go! I like seeing the clouds and the rain.
